The term "headspace" refers to the small amount of empty space that appears at the top of a pre-filled cart. This space is a normal part of the manufacturing process and doesn't mean the product is under filled or defective. What causes headspace in vape carts?The appearance of headspace in a new cart is primarily caused by two factors: 

• Oil absorption: The absorbent ceramic coil in the atomizer, which is the heating element, soaks up some of the oil after the cart is filled. This is a necessary process called "priming" that prevents the first hit from tasting burnt.
• Settling during transport: Changes in temperature and pressure during shipping can cause the oil to settle into the atomizer, increasing the size of the bubble at the top. 

Why is headspace intentional? Manufacturers design carts with a small amount of extra space for several practical reasons: 

• Prevents leaks: The extra space prevents the cartridge from overflowing during the sealing process. A small vacuum created by the headspace also helps to hold the oil in place and prevents leaks.
• Accommodates oil density: Because different cannabis oil extracts have different densities, the amount of space that a specific weight of oil occupies can vary. Building in headspace ensures a consistent filling and sealing process across different oil types.
• Ensures a good first hit: Headspace allows the oil to fully saturate the atomizer, or heating element, before the user takes the first draw. 

Oxidation in a clean, well-made cannabis distillate is primarily caused by exposure to oxygen, light, and heat, which trigger chemical reactions that change the cannabinoid structures, often leading to a darker color. Proper storage in a cool, dark, and airtight environment is crucial to minimize oxidation and preserve the distillate's original quality and color. 

Causes of Oxidation

• Oxygen: Exposure to air introduces oxygen, a key reactant in the oxidation process, leading to chemical changes in cannabinoids. 
• Light: UV light can accelerate the oxidation of cannabinoids, causing degradation. 
• Heat: Elevated temperatures, especially those encountered during storage or transport, can speed up oxidation reactions. 
• Chemical Reactions With Different Cannabis Terpenes: Terpene oxidation which can trigger chemical reactions that change the cannabinoid structures, sometimes leading to a darker or pink color. 

If no draw-activation occurs, try the following: Make sure power supply is charged. 

While charging, the light will light up and remain lit. Once the device reaches a full charge, the light tip will flash 20 times and then turn off.

If the device is plugged into an active USB port or wall adapter and the light is not lit, it has a full charge.

It depends. Many variables affect how many draws an individual cartridge can provide. Factors include the duration of inhalation and the type of plant-derived extract.

Our cartridges vaporize oil at a consistent rate of 5mg per 3-second draw. Based on this level of consumption, a 0.5mL cartridge would last approximately 100 draws.

Battery life depends on how long and how often the device is in use. On average, the power supply provides enough energy to vaporize a half gram (0.5ml) cartridge on a full charge cycle.

Cartridge is empty when vapor is no longer produced after a 3-second activation. Due to headspace, the cartridge may still produce vapor after the reservoir appears empty because of out of view oil absorbed in the atomizer.

All cartridges may leak when transported from a lower elevation to a higher elevation. The degree of leakage depends on how full the cartridge is, how large the increase in elevation is, and the speed at which the elevation changes.

To prevent leakage, store the cartridge with the mouthpiece pointing downward.
